into real life footage made with 3D Equalizer, Maya, VRay and Quixel Assets.

This was a CG integration into real life footage, filmed with a phone. The footage was filmed with the puddle to focus on, so there weren't any rapid movements. The footage was then tracked in 3DEqualizer. The data was then imported into Maya and the scene consisting of Quixel foliage and a model, made and rigged by myself, were created. The lighting of the real life footage was replicated as good as possible with a cloudy sky HDRI and the scene was then rendered with an alpha map. Finally, the footage and the 3D render were composited together in After Effects.
